All Maria Sharapova’s 2008 Nike outfits

As promised earlier this week, Women’s Tennis Blog has compiled a collection of photos to display all the Nike outfits Maria Sharapova worked or was supposed to work this year.

We know what styles Maria Sharapova will be wearing in January, but let’s revise what the Russian wore on court during her shortened 2008 season.

I like the Wimbledon outfit most. Nike chose a neat, classy and extraordinary look for the classiest tournament of the year, and Maria definitely pulled it off.

Which of the outfits do you consider the best?

Sharapova didn’t play any tournaments after the Rogers Cup because of her shoulder injury, so the two US Open dresses were unfortunately never worn on court by the Russian tennis star.

  1. Thanks for it ! The Roland Garros outfit is my favourite. But the Pacific Life Open is nice too.

It would be good to have a retrospection of Kirilenko too. 🙂

  2. The Roland Garros one is also fantastic, it’s probably my second/third best.

I noted your suggestion, Sara. Kirilenko is added to my list. I hope I will manage to find all the photos.

  3. i like the amelia island outfit, maybe that’s her luckiest outfit to-date)…and also the colors……. don’t like the color of her roger’s cup outfit, though its the same design………..
the white top coupled with bright blue color just accentuated her love for girly fashion……i meant it in a good way though………..

love to see ana’s outfit too, but she may have opted for the same dress the whole first half of the year…………but its good…………

  4. Yeah, the Amelia Island outfit is very nice, and the color she wore in Rome is also good. I agree, the Rogers Cup version is not so pleasant.

Haha, doing a retrospection of Ana’s outfits should be easy. Lol just kiddin’. Ana’s noted down, Pat. 😉

  5. Amelia Island and Roland-Garros outfits were my favorite of the year!
Thank you for all those Retrospections! 🙂

  6. ohh i love the dedicationof your work.. i think your blog is fantastic. my favorite outfit was the classical outfit she wore at the honk kong exhibition and the masters in 2007.. i also like the australian open dress i think the white firçts her very well. but that dress was suposed to be golden but why she changed it?

  7. i like all her outfit!!she looks great on matter wat she wears, cudos to her and Nike for all the outfits.the US open looks so nice.too bad she didnt play.

  8. I think she looks great in most of her outfits.
Roland garros is my favorite coz i got one myself too ^_^

Also, i remembered her gorgeous us open outfit (both white and red). Even though it’s been considered as the unlucky outfit by her…

  9. agree….the Wimbledon one is the best: though I do like the Fed Cup/Israel one(I’m a sucker for red.grin) I do wish she(and others) wouldn’t wear fur, though…. 🙁

I would love, love, love an Amelie Mauresmo dress retrospective – I know she’s not in the top just now, but being an ex Wimbledon champ, and all that….och, just because…..pretty please?

  10. Claire, I also find the Fed Cup one very nice. Red looks good on Maria.

Haha, I know you’re a huge Amelie fan. I will try to feature her too. 🙂

  11. My favourites are the Roger’s Cup ensemble which is fresh and feminine without going overboard and the USO night dress that she never actually got to wear – though I wouldn’t have liked the day dress because it just looks like she just popped on a sundress.

The RG outfit is okay, though nothing exciting. I won’t comment on the Wimbledon tux…

  12. The Rogers Cup outfit is very nice, just like the one she wore in Rome, actually I find the color combination from Rome a bit better (it’s just my taste).

The USO night dress is nice; the day dress, don’t ask me why, but I simply hate that color.

  13. All her outfits are adorable, the best in the WTA EVER!It’s a pity she didn’t take part in the 2008 US Open! The dresses for the tournament are so gorgeous, especially the night version! I wish I could see them on Maria in play! Hope she recover soon. All the victories too her.GODDESS!

  14. wow! a great retrospective! i love the AO dress.. the RG one is also very pretty, and the US Open night dress is simply stunning!
