Photo coverage of Pre-Wimbledon Party 2013

Thursday evening the WTA organized the Pre-Wimbledon Party, hosting by Sir Richard Branson at the Kensington Roof Gardens in London. The glamorous tennis event was streamed live and here are some snaps from the red pink carpet action.

Bethanie Mattek Sands accessorized a white long gown with blue shaved hairdo. Oh :/

Maria Sharapova looked perfect, as always, in Burberry, while Serena Williams worked a white V-neck dress, quite similar actually to her on-court Nike designs.

Ana Ivanovic looked divine. The beautiful Serb is no stranger to fashion misses, especially on the red carpet, but this qualifies for her best look ever, there’s no one detail that doesn’t perfectly fit the outfit.

Jelena Jankovic stood out in a red dress, with a nice side braid, although the look on her face in this photo doesn’t give the outfit justice. Daniela Hantuchova opted for the innocent white, accompanied by long, romantic hair waves.

Agnieszka Radwanska opted for a black dress to contrast her blond hair.

Eugenie Bouchard and Sloane Stephens celebrated the occasion.

Regarding fashion, Britain’s Heather Watson could have done better, but her smile in this pic steals the show. Victoria Azarenka and Sabine Lisicki went for safe solids and gave shy smiles to the camera.

As you can expect, Maria Sharapova was busier than the rest – the same day the Russian fashionista launched her Sugarpova sweets at Selfridges in London, wearing these yellow Louboutin shoes.

Video coverage of the WTA Pre-Wimbledon Party:

  1. Maria and Ana look gorgeous. Much prefer Maria’s outfit this year over last year’s. I thought JJ looked really nice!! What did you not like about her look Marija?

As for Serena, there’s something missing about her look. I like her hair though. Dani looks fab too. Overall the stars of the WTA seem to have done very well (save for Bethanie…), compared to some of the fashion disasters of previous years 😛

  2. Maybe it’s just this photo, but JJ looks as if she were run over by a train. Her face expression is dull and it contributes to the overall impression of a messy look. IMO.

  3. Ana’s dress is just perfect! :-)Maria and Serena also did pretty well. The rest of them are OKish. And Bethanie is her own category,so…LOL.

  4. Bróna, I cross my word for JJ. She looked nice. Only in this photo her face expression ruined the impression.

  5. Marija, I can see what you mean by her facial expression. It was nice to see her in something that wasn’t too extravagant for once though. The outfit was quite simple. I also liked her hair in the fishtail plait. Nice to see something different 🙂

  6. Ladies look great. I think Sharapova dresses “too old” for someone in her mid twenties. In fact Serena, who is turning 32, dresses younger than Sharapova.

I saw the Serena dress elsewhere. This photo doesn’t do it justice.

Ana is stunning from head to toe.
