WTA players travel to the Shakespeare time at the Nürnberg player party

Women’s Tennis Blog has been updating you about the Nürnberger Versicherungscup 2014 from the very beginning of the tournament and our photographer Jimmie48 has been on the court day and night, bringing you the atmosphere and happenings through his galleries (check out his shots from Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday so far and follow him on Twitter for live coverage), but here are some fun photo updates from players themselves, from the Shakespeare-themed player party the tournament organized on Monday in the Old Town Hall in the City Center of Nürnberg.

Eugenie Bouchard enjoyed the switch from cozy tennis clothes to bright-colored pink dress and said to her Twitter followers “Just call me Marie. #antoinette”.

Anastasia Rodionova and Yaroslava Shvedova

Anastasia Rodionova was all smiles “looking for prince on the white hourse”, as she said on Twitter, in a flowery costume.

Rodionova later straightforwardly lost to Bouchard 6-0 6-1 in the second round.

Michaella Krajicek

Michaella Krajicek also had a lot of fun looking elegant. Plus, she was the winner of the Cross Boule game that evening. Mona Barthel was #2, Eugenie Bouchard claimed the spot #3.

Marina Erakovic joked “they made us do it” and shared this group photo on Instagram.
