Happy New YearDear readers,

Just as every year, I’d like to wish you a pleasant and enjoyable new year! May your 2015 be full of health, love, harmony and abundance! It’s quite unbelievable that we’re fast approaching the eighth year of Women’s Tennis Blog’s existence and it’s even more astonishing that quite a few of you have been with this blog since the start of its journey.

Reflecting on the year 2014, I can be nothing but pleased when it comes to Women’s Tennis Blog. There have been many new readers, while we also got to meet some old ones who joined us in the comments for the first time. Thanks to our photographer Jimmie48, we provided exclusive coverage from 11 WTA tournaments worldwide (2015 is poised to be even better!) and it is the cooperation which started in 2013, but developed and consolidated in 2014, and I treasure it dearly.

Moreover, from 2014 I would point out the honor of being featured in the New York Times, the new cooperation with James of Moo’s Tennis Blog who steps in as my replacement when needed, and the continuation of cooperation with long-time blogging friend John Bolan, who provides me with WTA autographs and writes his year-end ranking predictions for Women’s Tennis Blog (join this year’s edition, there’s only one day left for you to share your predictions and win a signed photo of your favorite women’s tennis player).

I am grateful for having such a great crew of readers and associates who have continued to inspire me to always feel passionate about blogging.

Cheers to the new tennis season that is just around the corner and to the entertaining games of our hopefully injury-free WTA players. The Brisbane International starts in just a couple of days and our photographer is already in Australia, so don’t miss out to join us as soon as you rest from the New Year’s Eve celebrations!

Love,

Marija

  5. PeteTweet, thanks for sticking with my blog for such a long time. Yes, Jimmie48 is in Brisbane and he has already posted a gallery from practice sessions. I enjoy his coverage, as much as all the other readers of my blog. Yeah, imagine, 8 years!!! 😛 The anniversary is on March 31st. I’ll organize some giveaway on the occasion 😉

    Emman Damian, great 🙂

  6. Haha I love the picture Marija!! Congratulations on another fantastic year. I don’t get to visit the site nearly as often as I would like to these times so I didn’t know about all that you achieved this last year. The very best of luck for the coming year- I can’t wait to see what it has in store for the WTA and of course, your blog 🙂 Hard to believe you’re approaching 10 years of blogging- how quickly time passes 😛

  7. Bróna, thank you so much for your nice wishes and I’m glad you like the photo 🙂 You are one of my blog’s most loyal readers and it’s my pleasure to have you as a reader for so long, even if you visit just occasionally now. I hope that this year will be a continuation of the 2014 successes and so far it has started well as my photographer Jimmie48 is doing an amazing job in Brisbane.
