Caroline Wozniacki’s Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue is out, a secret she’s been hiding since last fall

Caroline Wozniacki likes to share her life happenings in the social media, but she’s managed to keep her mouth closed for half a year and now she’s totally surprised us with her sexy spread in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.

Wearing a range of white swimming suits, the fifth-ranked Dane posed in Captiva Island in the Gulf of Mexico in the fall of 2014.

The tennis star has now joined a bunch of her colleagues who revealed their athletic bodies for the magazine: Steffi Graf in 1997, Serena Williams in 2003, Anna Kournikova the following year, Venus Williams in 2005, Maria Sharapova in 2006, in 2009 we had the joint Dominikan Republic photo session of Maria Kirilenko, Tatiana Golovin and Daniela Hantuchova, while most recently we had Ana Ivanovic in 2010, whose SI feature produced her famous photos where she’s immersed in pink tennis balls.

Tennis players are no strangers to posing in bikinis. We had Victoria Azarenka, Alona Bondarenko and Dominika Cibulkova posing for French FHM in 2009, Ana Ivanovic for FHM, Serena Williams in cutout and fishnet swimming suits for Fitness Magazine, and many more.

Moreover, there have been a lot of players that took their clothes off completely for ESPN’s Body Issue: Serena Williams, Daniela Hantuchova, Vera Zvonareva, Agnieszka Radwanska, and most recently Venus Williams. My favorite, however, is this photo of Serena Williams for Jane magazine in 2007.

Let’s get back to Caro now. Her next tournament is the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships which starts on February 15th, and Women’s Tennis Blog will be right there to bring you exclusive photo coverage! 😉

  1. Emman Damian, yes, she’s found herself again. Right after the breakup was the worst period.

Tennis Island, I see what you mean, but I like most of the pics from the spread. Caro looks good in white.

  2. Sabey, sure thing. But I think that Tennis Island wanted to say that she’s not the best poser among the WTA players. I also think that Sharapova, Serena, Ivanovic, etc. work the camera better. But Woz looks awesome nevertheless.

  3. Caro looks great in the second to the last post when she leans at the old house. After her breakup with Rory, her career had direction again. Maybe because she enjoys her off court practices now compared before. Less pressure. More fun.

  4. Tenniz-fan, as for me, about half of the photos are awesome, and the other half is ok. My favorites could be the 4th and 5th photos here. Because of these wooden pillars and white clothes, parts of this photoshoot remind me of old Britney Spears’ video “Sometimes” 😛

  5. How wonderful that taste is so different, and how lucky for most of us! In my opinion, Caro looks absolutely stunning, she has that natural kind of true beauty, but I am not very fond of photo no 5 and 4. In my opinion, she also works the camera a lot better that Ivanovic or Sharapova, who just look artificial. Or perhaps, their annoying personalities (you know, the all time shrieking and unduly fist pumping…) are just shining through.
