Happy birthday Julia Goerges

Our loyal readers know that we like to mark players’ birthdays by posting their childhood photos to our Little Tennis Stars series and now we have loads of material to properly celebrate the birthday 27th birthday of our Julia Goerges.

Little Julia Goerges 4
Sports activities have been part of Julia’s life since early childhood

This curly cutie started playing tennis at age 6 and so far in her 10-year pro career she has won two WTA titles in singles (Bad Gastein 2010 and Stuttgart 2011) and five in doubles, while in 2014 she played the Roland Garros mixed doubles final with Nenad Zimonjic. Julia’s current singles ranking is No.50, but in March 2012 the German peaked at No.15, while a year later she reached her career-high of No.20 in doubles.

As you can see in these adorable portraits, camera has always loved Julia. Remember that in his recent interview our photographer Jimmie48 mentioned Julia among players “that are so photogenic that it’s pretty much impossible to take a bad photo of them”.

Recently we also found out that this tennis beauty is not single. Let’s see if some nice birthday photos with her boyfriend will surface in social media.

Happy birthday and all the best, Julia! (childhood photos via Julia Goerges’ official website)

  1. Happy birthday to one of my fave tennis players! I have always like Jule from the moment I saw her. She has a very big topspin forehand. I believe she can still improve and I hope she will be injury free next year!
