This week, former world No.27 Laura Robson stepped on the court for the first time in over a year, having recovered from her second hip surgery.

The Brit posted a clip from her practice session on Instagram and revealed how uncertain the continuation of her tennis career was:

I honestly didn’t think I’d make it back on court after the last surgery. It’s taken ridiculous amounts of rehab and hard work to get to this point so I’m very proud of myself today.

The 26-year-old also reminded everyone that she’s not retired, even though so many people have asked her that on social media.

Robson underwent her first hip surgery in June 2018, and then had another one in December 2019. The former British No.1 last played competitively in April 2019. She’s currently unranked.
