Ashleigh Barty has announced her engagement to long-term boyfriend Garry Kissick.
The Australian WTA world No.1 posted on Instagram a photo of her and her partner hugging and smiling, with the caption caption: “Future husband.” An engagement ring can clearly be seen on her hand.

The tennis star’s now-fiancé posted two similar photos of the couple, saying “I love you, Ash Barty” and revealing that the engagement date was November 15.

Who is Garry Kissick?
Garry Kissick is 30 years old. He has been a golfer all his life and working in the golf industry has always been his passion. According to his LinkedIn profile, he’s been working at Brookwater Golf Club in Brisbane for over 12 years and is currently the PGA trainee professional.

Ash Barty and Garry Kissick have been dating since 2016. The Roland Garros and Wimbledon champion’s partner regularly posts photos of them together at numerous tennis tournaments all over the world.
Ashleigh Barty’s 2021 season
After an eleven-month hiatus because of the pandemic, Barty returned to the tour at the 2021 Yarra Valley Classic and won the tournament. Later in the season, the Australian added four more titles to her résumé — Miami, Stuttgart, Wimbledon, and Cincinnati.
Even though she qualified for the Akron WTA Finals Guadalajara, Barty decided to skip her title defence in Mexico and end her season prematurely. After being on the road for eight months, Barty decided it was better to relax and recover and properly prepare for the Australian Swing at the start of next season. The last tournament the 25-year-old played was the 2021 US Open, where she lost to Shelby Rogers in the third round.
Ashleigh Barty is finishing the third year in a row at the WTA No.1 ranking.
