The world No.80 Martic won four consecutive games from a 3-0 deficit and went a break up 4-3, but couldn’t keep the lead as Rybakina broke back right away to level at 4-4 and eventually win the first set. The second set was less competitive, as Rybakina earned a crucial break in the sixth game to establish a 4-2 lead and comfortably won her remaining two service games.

The Moscow-born Rybakina entered the match with a Tour-leading number of aces this season, 191, adding six more in Monday’s fourth-round encounter with Martic.
