Greek WTA world No.6 Maria Sakkari posted a throwback summer selfie with her boyfriend Konstantinos Mitsotakis, assuring tennis fans that her relationship with the Greek Prime Minister’s son is still going strong.

According to Greek City Times, the photo was taken in Chania, on the Greek island of Crete. That’s where the Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis’s family comes from.
In last year’s interview with Alpha, Maria noted that her relationship with Konstantinos started in 2020:
It has been a year now since we met and the truth is he helped me a lot. He is a special guy. I have disclosed the relationship anyway; it is not hidden.
The tennis star partially credits her boyfriend for her run to the semifinals of Roland Garros 2021. Later she also reached the semifinals of the 2021 US Open and those are her best Grand Slam results.
I think it was a big part of why I did well at Roland Garros as I spent my free time with him very differently from when I was alone. He calmed me down, he talked to me, he was very supportive. Konstantinos is a very simple guy. I can talk to him for hours. We have a very easy relationship. He is a very easy person.
In August 2021, Maria publicly wished her boyfriend a happy birthday, saying: “Happy birthday love, never stop smiling!”
