The new doubles team pulled off a stellar week in Madrid, as they upset No.3 seeds and Stuttgart champions Desirae Krawczyk and Demis Schuurs in their opening round, and went to beat Anna Kalinskaya/Caty McNally, Paula Badosa/Bethanie Mattek-Sands, Leylah Fernandez/Taylor Townsend, and finally Coco Gauff/Jessica Pegula who have already clinched two titles this season (Doha and Miami).

The 2023 Madrid Open is Azarenka’s tenth doubles title and fifth at a WTA 1000 tournament. Her Brazilian partner has clinched her biggest career title and fifth in doubles.
