The 31-year-old Rogers is the third WTA player who got married this off-season, after Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk and Russian Anastasia Potapova. Donning an enchanting Morilee bridal gown designed by Madeline Gardner, complete with a lengthy veil and train, Rogers said “yes” to the American ice hockey player she met through a blind date arranged by mutual friends a few years ago (some reports say that they met in 2019, while others claim their first meeting was in 2020).
“Thank you to everyone that helped make our day so special,” shared former Top 30 WTA player Rogers on Instagram alongside multiple snapshots capturing moments from the wedding. “We are overcome with gratitude, love, joy, and excitement. The Lord is so good!”
In the spring of this year, the couple got engaged ahead of the Credit One Charleston Open. “My forever love,” Rogers captioned her engagement photo session on Instagram in April.
Currently ranked 147th in singles, Rogers spent the second half of the tennis season recovering from an injury. The last tournament she played was Wimbledon in July, where she lost in the first round to defending champion Elena Rybakina.
