To celebrate the new partnership, New Balance has unveiled a co-branded line of performance apparel and footwear for the Australian Open. The initial promotional visuals reveal a fusion of bold dark blue and vibrant yellow tones within the collection. Embracing classic silhouettes, the women’s range features timeless pleated skirts alongside polo shirts and sleeveless tank tops, offering versatile and stylish options for on-court wear.
American tennis star Coco Gauff, the brand’s leading figure in women’s tennis, will showcase a distinctive limited-edition cropped sleeveless tennis tank matched with a uniquely designed skirt. The skirt notably stands out with an eye-catching waistband featuring an intriguing crisscross pattern and mesh panels. The Melbourne outfit is available in ginger lemon and NB navy.
New Balance has also unveiled the latest colorway for the Coco CG1 tennis shoe, featuring a striking combination of NB navy, true red, and ginger lemon.
“New Balance has a long history of investing in tennis, with some of the game’s biggest names as proud ambassadors of the brand,” said Tennis Australia’s Chief Commercial Officer Cedric Cornelis. “We are excited to work with New Balance as it expands its presence in the sport even further.”
“This is more than a sponsorship, it is a celebration of two brands dedicated to growing the game and inspiring the next generation of tennis players and fans,” Global Director of Sports Marketing for New Balance Tennis and Baseball Evan Zeder said.
The range, available exclusively in Australia, will be available for purchase online and during the Grand Slam from New Balance’s on-site retail store on Grand Slam Oval.
The 2024 Australian Open, supported by major partner Kia in association with Emirates, Luzhou Laojiao and Rolex, will take place at Melbourne Park, January 14-28.
