Aryna Sabalenka’s latest Instagram photo dump sent fans into detective mode, with eagle-eyed followers quickly zeroing in on what appeared to be a sizeable engagement ring — instantly sparking speculation about a possible engagement to her longtime boyfriend, Georgios Frangulis.

The world No. 1 posed at Crown Towers Melbourne in jeans paired with an elegant white Gucci shirt, but it was her accessories that really stole the spotlight. Alongside close-up shots of her Audemars Piguet watch, fans noticed a striking ring that looked very much like an engagement ring.

Social media reactions followed immediately, with comments flooding in such as: “Wait….what’s that big sparkly yellow thing on your finger?” and “Stylish! Is that an engagement ring!”

It is largely forgotten now, but Sabalenka was previously engaged in 2019 to a man whose identity was never made public. She later entered a long-term relationship with former ice hockey player Konstantin Koltsov, which ended shortly before his tragic death in March 2024. Not long after, Sabalenka began dating her current partner Frangulis, the founder of Oakberry, a company specializing in acai-based products.

On the court, Sabalenka was expected to play the Qatar TotalEnergies Open next week in Doha, her first tournament since finishing runner-up at the 2026 Australian Open, however, she has opted to skip the season’s first WTA 1000 event, citing a change in schedule. The Belarusian is now set to resume competition at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships.
