Naomi Osaka is through to the fourth round of Wimbledon for the first time in her illustrious career, delivering a commanding 6-1 6-3 win over Daria Kasatkina in just 65 minutes.

While much of the attention around Osaka often gravitates toward her on-court style, her tennis is doing plenty of talking in London. She arrived for her third-round match in yet another standout outfit, but it was her performance that truly turned heads. A day after celebrating her daughter Shai’s third birthday, the Japanese star produced a clinical display that silenced critics and marked a new career-best showing at Wimbledon.
The result continues Osaka’s strong resurgence on clay and grass this season. Less than five weeks after reaching the fourth round of Roland Garros for the first time in her career, she has now gone one step further at the All England Club. It’s worth remembering that all four of Osaka’s Grand Slam titles have come on hard courts.
Osaka had already hinted at her growing comfort on grass when she reached the final at the Bad Homburg Open last month, before being forced to retire early in the second set against Karolina Muchova due to injury. This time at Wimbledon, however, she has looked fully in control, yet to drop a set as she continues her deepest run at SW19.
The next challenge for the 28-year-old will be a fellow Grand Slam champion, with a potential clash against either world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka or Jelena Ostapenko awaiting her in the fourth round.
