Serena and Venus Williams are set to play together at the US Open, following their doubles reunion in Cincinnati. Now, the WTA legends have received a wildcard into the women’s doubles draw at Flushing Meadows, giving fans another chance to see them compete side by side.
The sisters have played doubles together at the US Open nine times, most recently in 2022. They have compiled a 27-7 record at the tournament and captured the women’s doubles title twice, in 1999 and 2009.
Venus Williams will also compete in the US Open singles draw after receiving a singles wildcard. Serena, meanwhile, will not play singles at this year’s tournament. The younger sister did compete in the US Open Mixed Doubles Championship alongside Carlos Alcaraz. The star pairing reached the quarterfinals before losing to Belinda Bencic and Flavio Cobolli.
