Cara Black and Liezel Huber win US Open women’s doubles title

Top seeds Cara Black of Zimbabwe and Liezel Huber of the United States won women’s doubles title defeating American Lisa Raymond and Australian Samantha Stosur at the 2008 US Open.

With a 6-3 7-6 (8-6) victory over Raymond and Stosur, who were seeded tenth, the world No.1s won their fourth women’s doubles Grand Slam title.

At this year’s US Open, Black had also clinched the mixed doubles title, paired with India’s Leander Paes, and she played the final match against her partner in women’s doubles Huber and Briton Jamie Murray.
