Tennis star Maria Sharapova is investing in wellness brand Therabody, but her role will be much greater than that of a traditional investor, as the Russian will support the company’s continued global expansion through partnerships, growth strategies and concepts for new products by offering her vast experience as an entrepreneur, an athlete and a consumer.
The five-time Grand Slam champion, famous for her entrepreneurial skills and business mindset, will work as an advisory board member and consultant, contributing Therabody with her understanding of the fitness, recovery, and wellness industries. Moreover, Maria’s role will be to educate consumers on how the company’s technologies and products can benefit them.
Therabody, formerly called Theragun, was first known for its massage tool, while now it has grown to include several high-end massage therapy products aimed at providing effective and natural whole-body wellness solutions to help people feel better.
