World No.25 Dayana Yastremska has parted ways with coach Sascha Bajin after nine months of working together. The collaboration was terminated last week, after the Ukrainian’s second-round exit at the US Open.

The 20-year-old Yastremska commented on the split on social media:

I would like to announce that after the US Open, I decided to stop my cooperation with Sascha Bajin. I want to thank him for everything and wish him a good luck! It was a good experience for me.

Bajin’s illustrious career includes an eight-year cooperation with 23-time Grand Slam champion Serena Williams as a hitting partner and he held the same role for two-time Australian Open winner Victoria Azarenka. Moreover, coaching Naomi Osaka for 13 months since the 2017 off-season, Bajin helped the Japanese win two major titles and ascend to the top of the rankings, the achievements that earned him the 2018 WTA Coach of the Year award.

Yastremska will announce a new coach in the course of November.
