“Mr. and Mrs. coming soon,” Garcia wrote on X and Instagram, alongside a selfie with her long-term partner, a close-up of her engagement ring, and a photo of them holding hands.
Daria Saville, Patrick Mouratoglou, Alize Cornet, Shelby Rogers, Monica Puig, Maria Sakkari, Carla Suarez Navarro, Lucie Safarova, and Christina McHale were among the first to congratulate the lovely couple in the comments.
Garcia first introduced her boyfriend, Borja Duran, to her fans in November last year. She shared a series of snapshots from their thrilling trip to Antarctica, where they even took a daring plunge into the icy waters together. That was also when she confirmed her relationship status, expressing her gratitude: “I’m so grateful for those days, the opportunity to share it with my partner and discover this magical place together will live in me forever.” Since then, the French WTA player has been increasingly open about their relationship, frequently posting photos of their life and adventures together.
Who is Caroline Garcia’s fiancé, Borja Duran?
Much of what we know about Borja Duran comes from his LinkedIn profile. A Spaniard based in Barcelona, Duran is an associate professor at the University of Barcelona, specializing in e-commerce and marketing. In 2014, he volunteered for two months with an NGO in Tanzania, where he taught and assisted local teachers. He also contributed to the construction of a new building made from recycled plastic bottles.
Duran is also an entrepreneur involved in several businesses and projects. Notably, he co-founded the Tennis Insider Club with Garcia, where they host tennis stars and explore their untold personal journeys.
Garcia’s most recent tournament was Roland Garros, where she lost in the second round to Sofia Kenin and had to withdraw from doubles due to a shoulder injury. The Frenchwoman is set to play the upcoming grass-court season, including Wimbledon, where she’s reached the fourth round twice.
