According to German media outlet BUNTE, Ana Ivanovic and Bastian Schweinsteiger have separated after more than eight years of marriage. The couple reportedly split two months ago and are now living apart—Ana in Belgrade with their three sons, and Bastian in Munich.
Ivanovic and Schweinsteiger have long embodied the image of a perfect union—grace, stability, and mutual respect radiated from every public appearance. But now, German media are reporting that behind the scenes, things have quietly taken a different turn.
The former tennis star is said to be living in a 100-square-meter apartment near her parents and brother in the Serbian capital. Locals describe her as friendly and well-liked in the neighborhood. Schweinsteiger, who retired from football in 2019, has been traveling frequently but is based in Germany.
This news comes shortly after Ivanovic was confirmed for a legends exhibition match at the Geneva Open next month.
The couple married in July 2016 in a lavish three-day celebration in Venice, reportedly costing around one million euros. Over the years, they had become known for their seemingly picture-perfect relationship and devotion to family, with three sons—Luka, Leon, and Theo—completing their image as a happy, grounded family.
Neither Ivanovic nor Schweinsteiger has made a public statement regarding the alleged separation.
