Naomi Osaka made a winning return to the US Open, defeating Greet Minnen 6-3 6-4 in the first round at Louis Armstrong Stadium while turning heads in ultimate sports-glam style with her dazzling crystal-encrusted all-red Nike outfit and accessories. Let’s take a closer look at every detail.

For the WTA, Naomi explained that her US Open look continues the floral theme she and Nike have been exploring throughout the season. They picked roses for New York: her Nike GP Challenge 1 shoes and her hairstyle accented with red blooms.

The four-time Grand Slam champion arrived on court with long braids decorated with sparkling roses that perfectly matched her bejeweled red headphones. For the match, she removed some of the floral accents and the hair extension, leaving just a braided bun, but she returned to the full, extravagant look for the post-match press conference, much to the excitement of journalists present.
Her sparkly red jacket and dress, with a shimmering mesh chest and waist and a distinctive two-tiered bubble skirt, completed the show-stopping ensemble.
Another striking accessory was her bejeweled red Labubu doll holding a tiny blue racquet. Playfully nicknamed “Billie Jean Bling,” Osaka proudly showed it off at the post-match press conference.
Floral Nike kits have become a signature for Osaka this season. She debuted a sunflower-themed outfit at the Australian Open, complete with matching hair clips, earrings and shoes, and embraced a full sakura look at Roland Garros, pairing cherry blossom nails with matching hair accessories. At Wimbledon, however, she opted for a classic white pleated dress, a more understated outfit following an early exit in Paris.
The 27-year-old Osaka, who won the US Open in 2018 and 2020, returns to the court on Thursday, facing American Hailey Baptiste in the second round.
