Wetsuit-inspired tennis dresses lead Nike’s 2026 Australia line

Nike is ready for the 2026 season in Australia! A sneak peek at the new wetsuit-style women’s tennis kits has surfaced online, showcasing vibrant color palettes, body-hugging silhouettes, and curvy color-blocking.

Inspired by wetsuits worn on Australia’s coastlines, the new dresses feature a sleeveless, figure-flattering fit through the torso, paired with a gently flared skirt that allows for effortless movement, while a high mock neck with a short zip adds a modern, athletic edge. Bold, curvy color-blocking wraps around the body to visually sculpt the waist and hips, with a black central panel creating striking contrast and a slimming effect.

One colorway blends sapphire and light thistle blue with light lemon piping, while the other combines lime green and light lemon, accented by light thistle blue. Clean lines and precise seams are elegantly accented by a small Nike Swoosh on the chest.

The Nike Melbourne collection has yet to launch, but a new NikeCourt Slam Tank is already listed as “coming soon” on Nike Japan, expected to debut at the “Happy Slam.” The racerback top has a high mock neck with a half-zip design and a body-skimming fit, paired with a coordinated pleated skirt.

I like the new designs, although they don’t offer anything we haven’t seen before. I’ve always been drawn to these somewhat futuristic, tight-fitting silhouettes, as they remind me of the prime Adidas by Stella McCartney days. The colors are fantastic too: vivid, bright, and fresh, perfectly suited to Australia’s vibe.
