Naomi Osaka enjoyed a strong 2025 season and her fashion game was just as impressive. As part of our annual Fashion Retrospections, we’re taking a closer look at all of the WTA star’s on-court outfits this year. From standout custom Nike designs to playful details, the season was notably punctuated by her amusing Labubu dolls at the US Open and unique hair accessories.

The four-time Grand Slam champion opened her year with a run to the Auckland final, stepping onto the court in clean, minimalist Nike separates: an orange tank with a contrasting blue collar, paired with a skirt in the same shade of blue.

Sunflowers inspired Osaka’s Australian Open look, with eye-catching hair clips, earrings, and even her GP Challenge 1 shoes all featuring the cheerful motif. The statement accessories were balanced by simpler, neutrally colored apparel, allowing the sunflower theme to shine without overwhelming the outfit.

During the Sunshine Swing, Osaka embraced vibrant yellow Nike separates paired with matching shoes, reflecting the upbeat atmosphere of the Indian Wells and Miami tournaments.

In Madrid, Rome, and Saint-Malo, where she claimed her first title since becoming a mother, Osaka sported a blue iteration of her Sunshine Swing ensemble.

Osaka’s Roland Garros look was inspired by sakura, or Japanese cherry blossoms. Soft pink tones and floral details were accented with burgundy, balancing femininity with structure.
Her hairstyle made an instant statement: two puffs atop her head adorned with cherry blossom-like accessories, perfectly echoing the spring theme.

The light pink flirtatious dress featured a mock-neck racerback and a flowy, layered skirt with a rounded hemline, while burgundy trim on the neck and back added subtle definition to the silhouette. For warm-ups, she sported a varsity-style Nike jacket with a glossy burgundy body, pale pink sleeves, and striped trim for a sporty touch. Even her manicure completed the ensemble, with floral nail art tying the head-to-toe look together.

At Wimbledon, Osaka embraced a more understated all-white look, opting for a wrap-style pleated dress.

In the lead-up to the US Open, Osaka sported a classic navy dress featuring a pleated skirt.

With her bold red, glitter-detailed ensemble, Osaka was definitely the style icon of the 2025 US Open. The former world No. 1 elevated her fashion game further by debuting personalized, on-trend Labubu dolls as accessories for each match.

Her striking red look carried forward the floral theme she had embraced all season, with roses representing New York. From her red Nike GP Challenge 1 shoes embellished with roses to her extravagant hair adorned with sparkly red blooms, every detail was thoughtfully curated.

Osaka’s Labubu dolls added a playful twist to her presence: a bejeweled red figure holding a tiny blue racquet affectionately named Billie Jean Bling, followed by the glittering white Althea Glitterson, LaBillieBoo, and Arthur Flash.

Beyond red, she also appeared in a stunning purple iteration of the outfit.

During the Asian Swing, Osaka dazzled in a bright yellow dress featuring a black neckline, matching trim around the armholes, and a tiered skirt.

Her shoes combined burgundy, dark purple, and black with gold accents, including a bejeweled string above the heel.

For the 28-year-old Osaka, 2025 was a very good season, highlighted by her first career clay-court title in Saint-Malo, a run to the WTA 1000 final in Montreal, and a semifinal showing at the US Open. Off the scorelines, it was an equally remarkable year in fashion. Osaka seamlessly wove a floral narrative throughout the season, being the best-dressed player at most Grand Slams. Her major looks went far beyond beautiful dresses: hairstyles, accessories, shoes, jackets, and bags were all meticulously curated to tell a cohesive story. A true on-court fashion icon.
