Reader Tenniz-fan sent me a tip for my WTA Players and their Lovers page, telling me that Sloane Stephens is dating fellow tennis player Jack Sock. Proof? On their Instagram profiles, they shared several photos of them hugging.
Moreover, for Jack’s birthday in September 2013, Sloane posted a photo of them together, saying:

Sloane and Jack teamed up for mixed doubles competition at last year’s US Open, but they lost in the first round.
Sloane has had a more accomplished tennis career so far, with her highest ranking being No.11 (current No.18), while her boyfriend’s highest was No.78 (current No. 88), however, unlike Sloane, Jack has a Grand Slam title to his name – the 2011 mixed doubles US Open with Melanie Oudin.

Sloane needs to focus on tennis, not meaning she can’t have a life off court. She’s too streaky and has been losing quite a bit, here lately; she lacks consistency and can show a not-so-positive attitude on the court. She even got a little too personal in a recent interview about what birth control she’s using, since starting this relationship with Jack. They may be getting a bit too serious too soon and need to definitely take it slow. They are both very young, with him being younger than she. In all honesty, she’ll never be the next Serena, as the media put it out there. She’s slipping in the rankings for a reason. Cute couple, yeah, but I doubt it’ll last.
