Anhelina Kalinina reached her maiden WTA 1000 final at the Internazionali BNL d’Italia this month and ensured to enter the Top 25 ranking. Unfortunately, the Ukrainian was troubled by a leg injury during the title match and tearfully retired in the second set to hand the victory to Elena Rybakina.
During the emotional trophy ceremony, the 26-year-old expressed her heartfelt gratitude to her husband and coach, Anton Korchevskyi, for his unwavering support. Proudly observing her from the stands, he couldn’t help but display a contented smirk on his face.
After attributing a lot of her success in Rome to her fitness coach, Kalinina praised her husband’s support: “I wanna say thanks to my husband, he is doing everything 24/7 for me.”

Anton Korchevskyi is a former junior tennis player whose career was cut short due to a back injury.
