Nicole Vaidisova ends season with wrist injury

Nicole Vaidisova sustained a right wrist injury in her first round match at the Bell Challenge in Quebec City, Canada. She played against Czech compatriot Renata Voracova.

Top-seeded Vaidisova won the opening set 6-2, but lost the second set 3-6. Then, she received medical treatment, but afterwards the world No. 12 just waved to the crowd and left the court.

1. Cut finger (during Hong Kong exhibition in January)
2. Wrist injury
3. Mononucleosis/viral illness (since Wimbledon quarterfinal loss until US Open – almost two-month period)
4. Left hamstring injury (since the US Open until Moscow, pulled out of Stuttgart)
5. Wrist injury (during the first round at the Bell Challenge)
