Defending champion Jelena Jankovic will not add the white Porsche to her car collection, as she was beaten in the quarterfinals of the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix by Flavia Pennetta.
I have to say it’s a pity we won’t see Jelena’s proud photos next to this luxurious car. Remember those with the red Porsche she won last year in Stuttgart?
The world No.14 Pennetta won the quarterfinal 2-6 6-4 6-4. Jankovic managed to come back from 2-0 down in the third set, and had her chance to end it as a victor, but dropped her serve in the seventh game once again. Pennetta then kept the lead and entered the semifinals on the first match point.
Pennetta will next face the winner of the match between world No.1 Dinara Safina and Agnieszka Radwanska. Second seed Elena Dementieva and fifth seed Svetlana Kuznetsova are the other semifinal pair. (photo: Ralf Reinecke)
Hi Marija,
I wanted to ask you if you liked Jankovic dress that she has been wearing since Indian Wells. Personally, I think the Fed Cup one that she just wore was waay better. Jankovic seems to be getting at least a little form though! 😀 By the way, I love your website!!!!! 😛
It is so sad that Jankovic had to go through that fitness regime! :'( She was so good before that… She should have just worked on her serve and made it a weapon! B-)
She should have won this match……!!
Mr. Scrubs, I’m glad you like my website. 🙂
I’m not a huge fan of Jelena’s this year’s oncourt dresses, they’ve been somewhat boring. I like the Fed Cup one best, though, it has much more personality than her other dresses.
Kelly, Jelena didn’t have to go through that hard fitness regime, but she wanted to improve, and she believed her team that it was the right way, but it apparently wasn’t.
Excellent info, especially considering I was looking at this brand for my next car.
I think that this match is so good for Jankovic. She will save energy for Rome and Madrid.
