Angelique Kerber is currently the biggest talk of the WTA world with her Australian Open triumph and in one of the interviews following the victory the German had a slip of the tongue, revealing that the wedding of Ana Ivanovic and Bastian Schweinsteiger has definitely been booked.
How Kerber spilled the beans? In the interview she casually mentioned how Ana and Bastian sent her a photo congratulating her on the Grand Slam title and without thinking much about it she added: “The two are so cute, I am looking forward to their wedding.”
Ahead of Germany’s Fed Cup tie against Switzerland in Leipzig Kerber was again asked about the wedding, but she didn’t want to elaborate, evading the question and saying that she couldn’t disclose the date.
Ivanovic and Bastian got engaged in July 2015, while in September they celebrated their first anniversary of being together. In August last year Serbian media reported that the wedding would take place in December, but that has apparently not actualized. (photos: Jimmie48)
