After years of postponing her wedding due to professional obligations, Dominika Cibulkova got married to her long-time partner Miso Navara in Bratislava on Saturday, July 9th.
There was a threat that the 27-year-old would have to cancel her wedding plans, as her inspiring run to the quarterfinals of Wimbledon made everyone think that she could well progress to the final stage of the tournament, while her marriage ceremony had been organized for the day of the women’s championship match. The Slovak, however, quickly lost her quarterfinal to Elena Vesnina and headed to her home town to get ready for the big day.
Domi and Miso have been together since 2010, while they got engaged somewhere in 2012, although the tennis star continued to refer to her partner as boyfriend. Miso has been a regular sight at Domi’s matches and practices. The couple also enjoys going out, as we’ve seen from a bunch of photos on their Instagram profiles, as well as lavish vacations in Maldives, Santorini, and other exotic destinations.
Cibulkova’s sheer white wedding dress was absolutely stunning, with lace allowing the tennis star’s skin to peek through and with the skirt extending several meters behind the tiny bride. The heels are Jimmy Choo, as we can see from the photo Domi herself shared on Instagram.
As we learned from Barbora Strycova‘s Instagram, the cake was gigantic.
Congratulations to the gorgeous couple! My WTA Players and their Love Partners page is now enriched with another beautiful wedding.
