Garbine Muguruza and Caroline Wozniacki will step out on the US Open courts in the Adidas by Stella McCartney Barricade apparel equipped with ClimaLite fabric to keep players cool in New York’s summer heat. The FW16 collection tennis shoes are made for fast and hard surfaces.
The world No.3 Muguruza will wear a color-blocking slim-fit ensemble combining the Adidas Stella Barricade New York Tank in white/oyster grey and the Adidas Stella Barricade New York Skirt in flash red/oyster/grey/white.
The marble graphic details are engineered with ClimaLite®, advanced cooling technology that wicks sweat away from the skin during long matches.
The Spaniard’s movement will be supported by the Barricade shoe in black/white/oyster grey. Engineered for manoeuvrability, the footwear is also highly breathable thanks to its full mesh knit upper.
Caroline Wozniacki will wear the Adidas Stella Barricade New York Dress, whose combination of colors pays tribute to the tournament’s American home ground. Just as most Caro’s dresses in recent months, this 2016 US Open item creates a feminine hourglass illusion through strategic use of color-blocks. High neck, racer back and bonded no-sew seams at arm holes and hem are accompanied by ClimaLite® fabric that ensures fast evaporation of sweat.
The Dane’s Barricade BOOST shoe is built for comfort and durability. Its BOOST™ energy-returning cushioning is specifically suited for abrasive hard surfaces. For the first time, the shoe features a seamless knitted upper for the perfect fit.
To complete the looks, Stella McCartney created the visor in collegiate navy and flash red wristbands.
What do you say about the designs? Do you prefer the Stella Barricade clothes for the US Open or the regular Adidas line worn by Ana Ivanovic, Angelique Kerber and Simona Halep?
