With the draw ceremony on Friday evening done, the 2016 WTA Finals in Singapore moved to the last bit of buildup on Saturday as players headed for the Marina Bay Sands Hotel for the traditional All Access Hour in which all qualified players get to meet the press for extensive press conferences.
The event is still one player short though, since only seven players made themselves available to the media on Saturday, with Johanna Konta’s participation in Singapore still depending on whether Svetlana Kuznetsova can win her Moscow final against Daria Gavrilova to clinch the final eighth spot.
With the pre-event festivities complete, play at the 2016 WTA Finals inside Singapore Indoor Stadium will get underway tomorrow, with the Red Group featuring Angelique Kerber, Simona Halep, Madison Keys & Dominika Cibulkova kicking off the event.
