Seed No.14 Garbine Muguruza wasted no time in eliminating surprise semifinalist Magdalena Rybarikova 6-1 6-1 to reach her second Wimbledon final in three years.

Prior to the encounter, Muguruza had led Rybarikova 2-1 in head-to-head stats, but it was the Slovak who had won their sole meeting on grass. Today, however, Muguruza was dominant on the green surface as well, as the world No.87 Rybarikova double-faulted on Muguruza’s first break point, setting the tone for the rest of the match and letting Muguruza confidently march into the final.

Even though before today’s Centre Court clash first-time Grand Slam semifinalist Rybarikova said “again, I’m not going to be favorite – so again, I can just enjoy this match,” I’m not really sure how much she enjoyed being brushed aside by the Spaniard in just over an hour.

In the Wimbledon final, Muguruza will face either tenth seed Venus Williams or sixth seed Johanna Konta.
