Coco Vandeweghe’s new arctic aqua Asics dress debuted in Stanford

Coco Vandeweghe launched the Asics Fall Athlete Dress during her successful run at the 2017 Bank of the West Classic in Stanford, which included a high-quality singles final against fellow American Madison Keys and a doubles title in partnership with Abigail Spears.

Asics never likes to go far from traditional sportiness, always picking typical athletic cuts and common colors, but this new dress does have a bit of a twist provided by the contrast T-back design that matches a rounded light blue panel at center chest.

Moreover, the back of the dress is enhanced by mesh that increases ventilation.

Besides the dress, the new collection features a classic cap-sleeve top, a nice pleated skirt, a simple sports bra, as well as printed items to be paired with the solids, the Asics Fall Printed Tank and the Asics Fall Graphic Capri.

Vandeweghe’s successful week in Stanford, which followed her run to the last eight at Wimbledon, as well as quarterfinal finishes in Madrid and Birmingham, resulted in the American re-entering the Top 20 of the WTA rankings.

A very special thing about the Bank of the West Classic final was the post-match hug between the finalists and we have a lot more photos documenting their friendship and laughs, since our photographer Jimmie48 was at the tournament from start to finish.

  1. Emman Damian, yes, Julia is wearing the same dress. Have you seen that she’s now become a WTA ace leader in 2017, overcoming Karolina Pliskova?

  2. It’s hideous, it doesn’t compliment her body at all, the design is so basic, blend, too sporty and nothing exciting about the dress at all. Women’s Asics never had any great designs, even till now. The only best thing about asics is probably the shoes.

  3. I like the dress. It’s a nice colour and interesting design. Coco doesn’t have a very feminine look or body and the sporty style suits her.
