Wilson has partnered with the USTA Foundation to launch the “Ultra Aces” program, meaning that for every ace recorded during the 2017 US Open by a Wilson-sponsored men’s and women’s singles player that uses the brand’s new 2017 Ultra high-performance tennis racquet, Wilson will donate $200 and a new Ultra racquet directly to the USTA Foundation.

Madison Keys launched the Wilson Ultra line during her run to the Bank of the West Classic title in Stanford and she’s of course using her Ultra Tour model this fortnight in New York, as well as WTA doubles No.1 Lucie SafarovaOceane Dodin, Monica Niculescu. Maria Sakkari, Arina Rodionova, Ajla Tomljanovic, Ipek Soylu, and Kaia Kanepi.

Wilson and the USTA Foundation will direct all donated funds generated by this program towards rebuilding tennis in the communities affected by Hurricane Harvey, while donated racquets will go towards the Foundation’s Excellence Team Program, which empowers under-resourced youth interested in playing tennis at a high-performance level throughout the United States.

Official social hashtag of the program is #TogetherWeArePowerful.

This is not the only such initiative at the US Open. World No.1 Karolina Pliskova will donate $200 for a children’s hospital in Prague for every ace she serves during the Grand Slam. The Czech entered the tournament as the WTA leader for aces delivered in 2017 – hit 348 aces in 52 matches this season until the US Open, ahead of Julia Goerges with 340 aces in 51 matches.
