Wearing a sexy red Alexander McQueen suit and stilettos, Sloane Stephens showed up at Microsoft Theater on Wednesday, July 18th, in Los Angeles to pick up her 2018 ESPY Best Female Tennis Player Award.

The reigning US Open champion Stephens beat her WTA colleagues Garbine Muguruza, Caroline Wozniacki and Simona Halep in the competition for this year’s Best Female Tennis Player Award, while she was beaten in the Best Breakthrough Athlete category, as NBA player Donovan Mitchell won the award.

Stephens was a surprise 2017 US Open champion, winning her maiden Grand Slam title just two months after coming back from foot surgery, and has since won the Miami Open, went all the way to the final at Roland Garros 2018 and climbed to a career-high ranking of No.3, the position she currently occupies.
