Late last week, Wilson Tennis and BAPE (*A Bathing Ape), helped by WTA stars Elina Svitolina and Jelena Ostapenko, held a private event in New York City to showcase a collaboration surrounding Wilson’s new Camo racquet line.
The regular Camo range includes models: Blade 98L Camo, Ultra 100L Camo, Pro Staff 97L Countervail Camo, and Burn 100LS Camo.
Thanks to our Jimmie48, we have photos of Svitolina’s first-round victory over Sachia Vickery on Monday at the US Open and we can clearly see her Wilson Camo racquet. The seventh seed is also equipped with NikeCourt’s Fall Slam Dress boasting Nike Zonal Cooling technology, printed Fall Power 5″ Shorts and yellow NikeCourt Air Zoom Zero shoes that she designed herself.
Just to avoid any confusion, Svitolina and Ostapenko are using the regular Camo line at the US Open (Svitolina is playing with Burn, Ostapenko with Blade), they are not playing with the BAPE Camo racquet. The Camo line Wilson put out was an inspiration for the BAPE design (the camo and branding on that BAPE racquet are different) and will be available exclusively from BAPE in the coming months.
Here are photos of Svitolina and Ostapenko attending the Wilson x BAPE collaboration announcement ahead of the US Open on August 23, 2018 in New York City.
