China Open PHOTOS: Sevastova, Osaka, Wang, Wozniacki win quarterfinals

Friday’s schedule at the China Open featured the women’s quarterfinals and our Jimmie48 attended all the four matches.

Naomi Osaka powered into the semifinals with a come-from-behind win over hometown favorite Zhang Shuai, while the Japanese’s semifinal opponent Anastasija Sevastova dismissed Dominika Cibulkova. Caroline Wozniacki moved into the semifinals with a straightforward victory over qualifier Katerina Siniakova and Wang Qiang worked her way past Aryna Sabalenka.

  1. Look at these amazing women! I love seeing where we are now vs. where we came from. This sport has been an uphill battle for women in so many ways. And well, in many ways– it still is. I just read Driven: A Daughter’s Odyssey by Julie Heldman. I was so humbled by this memoir. She was Tennis Royalty and her story was untold, until now. Read it! I promise you will love it! I found it on Amazon!
