On Thursday at the BNP Paribas WTA Finals Singapore presented by SC Global, Elina Svitolina and Karolina Pliskova closed out round-robin action in the White Group by defeating Caroline Wozniacki and Petra Kvitova, respectively, and progressing into the semifinals.
When it comes to doubles, Thursday was the first day of competition. Barbora Krejcikova & Katerina Siniakova defeated Nicole Melichar & Kveta Peschke in the quarterfinals, while Andrea Sestini Hlavackova & Barbora Strycova lost just three games against Andreja Klepac & Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez.
