Anett Kontaveit will remember this New Year’s Eve by returning to her career-high ranking of No.20 and by playing her first competitive match in a Lacoste outfit. The Estonian used to represent Adidas, but she’s now one of five players we’ve counted so far that are starting the 2019 season with a new logo on their gear.

Kontaveit defeated Carla Suarez Navarro 6-0 6-3 in the first round of the Brisbane International on Monday, showing off her new Lacoste kit. I have to notice that this is quite an innovative design for Lacoste.

The diagonal stripes featured in the tank and the skirt are a novelty when it comes to Lacoste, and not to mention the introduction of light pink.

Lacoste outfits are generally either navy or white, so this is quite an out-of-the-box style for this company that nurtures traditional tennis fashion.

From what I’ve seen so far, I’m very pleased with Anett’s partnership with Lacoste!
