Naomi Osaka is high on the list of the richest female athletes in the world, but the first Asian to rise to the WTA No.1 singles ranking is keeping it real with her nightly skincare routine — no need to have 30 luxury products and spend half an hour in a 15-step routine before bedtime, the tennis star uses just bare essentials and the products she buys are not very expensive.

The 22-year-old Osaka appears in the latest episode of Harper’s Bazaar’s “Go to Bed with Me”, as she charmingly reveals how she takes off her makeup and prepares her skin for overnight recovery.

I don’t really know what I’m doing at this point, most of the time I just use water and facewash and moisturizer.

Even though makeup is not on Osaka’s daily beauty schedule, as she plays a lot of tennis and doesn’t wear makeup on the court, but when she does, she makes sure to always take it off before going to bed:

Falling asleep with makeup on is a big “no” for me.

However, the Japanese later on added:

To be honest, I take makeup off so badly, I think in the end, I do sleep with a little bit of makeup on.

The two-time Grand Slam champion doesn’t experiment with new products that often and sticks to what she already has. Her Harper’s Bazaar bedtime routine was a bit extended and included the following products: Mineral Cleansing Water, Pureness Gel Cleanser, Pureness Soothing Light Moisturizer, Skinlongevity Vital Power Sleeping Gel Cream, all by bareMinerals, plus lip balm by Kiehl’s, and Hydraskin Cooling Hydrating Stick for Face and Eyes by Darphin.
