Marketa Vondrousova recorded her third career Top 10 win with a dominant display against two-time champion Elina Svitolina in the quarterfinals of the Internazionali BNL d’Italia.

The 12th-seeded Vondrousova needed some time to warm up, but after saving six break points early on, the Czech converted the third of her own for a 3-1 lead and has never since been endangered by the fourth-seeded Svitolina.

Vondrousova recovered well from her last night’s two-and-a-half-hour win over Polona Hercog and needed 100 minutes to get past Svitolina 6-3 6-0.

In the semifinals, Vondrousova will face defending champion Karolina Pliskova.
