Aryna Sabalenka beat Victoria Azarenka  6-2 6-2 in the first ever all-Belarusian WTA final to win the J&T Banka Ostrava Open title.

The third-seeded Sabalenka won the final in just 68 minutes, converting all the three break points she earned, as Azarenka won just 38% of points on both her first and second serves.

The world No.12 Sabalenka’s week in Ostrava was not as smooth as today’s match, as she was twice on the brink of defeat — in the second round against No.55 qualifier Coco Gauff she recovered from a 2-5 deficit in the third set and in a lopsided quarterfinals against qualifier No.73 Sara Sorribes Tormo she lost the first 10 games then won the final 12.

In Sunday’s final Sabalenka recorded her 25th career Top 20 victory and won her seventh WTA title.
