At this week’s Bett1Open, Grand Slam champions Angelique Kerber and Garbine Muguruza refreshed the tennis fashion scene with a soccer-inspired Adidas design that combines a dress and a romper. This introduction of a new outfit comes as a surprise, because other WTA players, including some sponsored by Adidas, entered the grasscourt season in their Roland Garros apparel.
Kerber and Muguruza debuted the Adidas London All-In-One Dress as they recorded straightforward victories in the opening round of the grasscourt event in Berlin on Tuesday. The silhouette is specific as the front looks like a pleated skirt while the back are shorts. The romper dress is a complete package with separate racerback bra and tights included.
The color is team royal blue. The vertical stripes evoke the lines on a grass court or football pitch. The neckline is inspired by soccer, but we can say that the entire design reminds of soccer jerseys.
The item also exists in white with scarlet Adidas logos at center chest and back right leg hem. I’ll present the white pieces in more detail in a separate post dedicated to Wimbledon fashion.
Adidas’ PRIMEGREEN pieces are made from recycled materials. AEROREADY technology is there to absorb moisture and keep players dry.
For those who prefer separates, Adidas offers the London Y-Back Tank in this same style.

I am honestly conflicted whether I like it or not.
I do like stripes, but I like horizontal stripes on dress and tank top, not so on vertical.
The vertical stripes looks crowded in blue, reminds me of Jankovic’s car wash dress (I wasnt fan of either). But I feel like it will look great in white though.
Personally I wouldve design it as a dress, not dress in the front, jumpsuit in the back, just pick one already.
On the other hand, the men’s collection looked great though, kinda like football jersey, but it works since they are playing on grass
Ian, I like it and I think the story is interesting, I mean that they’re celebrating soccer with this collection. However, even though I like this royal blue color, I prefer the striped white design. I’ve just published my article about the Wimbledon collection, you can have a look.
Hi Marija! Thanks for always anticipating the latest fashion trends in tournaments, reading your post about the new Adidas collection for Wimbledon, Why are Sakkari, Muguruza and not Angie Kerber featured? We would like to know what model you are going to wear and if there are photos. By the way I love the white Uniforia jacket. All the best.
Michael, Angie will wear that collection at Wimbledon, Adidas mentioned her name in the press release, they just didn’t include her in the photoshoot. I don’t know why she wasn’t photographed.
