Czech WTA player Katerina Siniakova is dating her younger ATP colleague Tomas Machac.
Sparks started flying during the Australian quarantine at the start of the 2021 season. The 20-year-old Machac first publicized the relationship in February, by posting a photo of him and Siniakova sitting at a restaurant. The caption read: “My love.”
Siniakova revealed her boyfriend during Wimbledon, saying: “Everything is special in this photo.”
The couple also enjoyed their time together during the recent Olympic Tennis Event in Tokyo, where Siniakova went on to win the women’s doubles gold medal partnered with Barbora Krejcikova.
The 25-year-old Siniakova is currently ranked No.56 in singles and No.3 in doubles. The established Czech player has won two singles WTA titles and 12 women’s doubles titles, including three Grand Slam women’s doubles titles (all with Krejcikova). Her boyfriend’s career is still on the rise, as he turned pro just four years ago, in 2017. His current ATP singles ranking is No.150.
In March, Machac confirmed his relationship with Siniakova in an interview with Karolina Pliskova’s husband Michal Hrdlicka.
