Olympic gold medalist Monica Puig shared engagement news on her social media on Saturday. The Puerto Rican tennis player said ‘yes’ to fellow athlete Nathan Rakitt.
From what we’ve seen on Instagram, we can conclude that the engagement took place in Lost Dutchman State Park, Arizona. Nathan said: “Ready to jump?” Monica said: “Yes!”
Drinking her morning coffee, the 28-year-old Puig gave us a close-up of her engagement ring. With a wide smile on her face, she said: “Acting totally different this morning.”
Christina McHale, Bethanie Mattek-Sands, and Elena Vesnina were the first WTA players to congratulate the happy couple.

Nathan Rakitt is also a tennis player, from the USA, although inactive. He is the same age as Monica, they were both born in 1993.
Congratulations to the husband and wife to be! I am so happy for you!
