Less than two weeks after retiring from tennis, Johanna Konta announces that she is now a married woman!
The former WTA world No.4 has kept a low profile when it comes to her wedding. The Brit has so far shared no wedding photos and we weren’t in the loop about her wedding preparations. However, the 30-year-old didn’t leave us completely uninformed and posted a simple message on Twitter:
So… Yesterday I got married.
We can conclude that the wedding took place on Saturday, December 11.

Johanna Konta’s husband is Jackson Wade. As his LinkedIn biography states, he is a “digital marketing professional with a comprehensive range of experience from moving image and digital film production, to photography and online marketing, including content production and social media.”
Johanna and Jackson started dating in 2017. It is possible that they met while Jackson worked as a video and photography manager at the Lawn Tennis Association.

The couple got engaged on Konta’s 30th birthday in June this year. In early October, the three-time major semifinalist posted a photo from her wedding ring shopping, so we knew that the wedding ceremony was just around the corner.
