Ashleigh Barty needed just 62 minutes to dominate Madison Keys in the semifinals of the Australian Open 6-1 6-3 and become the first home representative to reach the final since 1980.

The top-seeded Barty played a perfect first set, having no weak sides and firing winners from all positions. In the second set her level slightly declined, but her victory over the world No.51 Keys was overall a very confident, routine one.

The No.1-ranked Barty ended Keys’ career-best ten-match winning streak and has dropped just 21 games en route to the championship match. Impressive!

In the final, Barty’s opponent will be American seed No.27 Danielle Collins, who dominated No.7 Iga Swiatek 6-4 6-1.
