Johanna Konta gives birth to a baby girl

Former British No.1 Johanna Konta enriched her post-tennis life with a little treasure — a baby girl named Emmeline.

The three-time Grand Slam semifinalist Konta gave birth to her first child on September 12th in London and readily shared her happiness with the world a day later. The new mom posted on Instagram a photo of herself smiling and holding her sleeping bundle of joy.

The former world No.4 Konta ended her tennis career on December 1st, 2021, and less than two weeks later married her long-time partner Jackson Wade. The retired WTA player announced pregnancy in May, exposing her baby bump and saying: “Busy baking my own little muffin right now.”
