Vekic has already debuted her new apparel at the United Cup in Perth, Australia. On the Donna Sport Instagram profile, the former Top 20 player wrote about her new collaboration:

Not only do I love fashion, but now I am able to be involved in the process of creating the clothing that I will wear on court, which is all thanks to the new global collaboration with Uomo Sport, through the creation of their new line Donna Sport. I’m looking forward to play in a brand of such high quality and unique design with core Italian heritage.

Uomo Sport was founded by Steven Siebert who says that the brand was born out of his obsession for the game of tennis and out of necessity:

With a renewed personal quest for quality tennis wear with timeless style, I created a luxury brand where fashion meets performance and performance meets fashion. A hybrid that honors the heritage that is the sport of tennis.

Vekic is the first women’s tennis player to partner with Uomo Sport. The list of their ambassadors in men’s tennis is long, as it includes a number of emerging players and retired stars: Jenson Brooksby, Christian Harrison, Tomas Berdych, Nicolas Almagro, Pat Cash, Aaron Krickstein, Harry Bouchier, Christian Langmo.

  1. Hi Marija,

Looks like some contract changes at Nike- Marta Kostyuk appears to have left Nike. She was wearing an unbranded green outfit in Adelaide.

  2. Karo, thanks for noting that. I’ll follow her case to see what brand she’s switched to. It’s very common to have a lot of WTA clothing sponsor changes at the start of a year.

  3. It’s super common at this time of year, isn’t it. Any updates on what the women will be wearing at the AO?

  4. Love this collaboration! It’s about time that the players select and create their own lines. They are more empowered in the court knowing they love what they wear.

  5. Emman Damian, sure, and it is always good to have more variety when it comes to brands represented on the WTA Tour.
